This assignment shows my ability to communicate child life practice by writing a dialogue that explains my role to a patient and family. It demonstrates how I translated medical information into child-friendly language and showed how child life can support coping.
Child Life Talk: Scoliosis
This assignment shows my ability to represent and communicate child life practice by presenting to a pretend middle school class about scoliosis in a developmentally appropriate way. It demonstrates how I explained the role of a child life specialist and taught coping strategies in language that matched the students’ level of understanding.
